No. It is an independent timed practice exam. Every question is original and none is copied from the state exam.
Why does the simulation use 50 questions?
50 is a practice length we chose, not the state exam's count. New York does not publish the number of questions, the passing percentage, or the subject weighting for the salesperson exam.
Are there different 90-minute simulation forms?
Yes. There are 5 fixed forms, each with 50 different questions selected from a 285-question pool. No question repeats between the five forms. Retaking the same form repeats its questions, so a retake score is not independent evidence of learning.
Why does the timer allow 90 minutes?
The New York Department of State gives salesperson candidates 90 minutes (1.5 hours) for the written exam once the instructions end. Practicing against the same clock builds the pacing and focus you need on exam day.
Can I pause the practice simulation?
No. Once you start, the clock keeps running, even if you close the page. When browser storage is available and the question release has not changed, reloading resumes the saved attempt without restoring elapsed time. If storage is blocked, keep the page open.
What happens when the simulation timer reaches zero?
Your attempt is submitted automatically. Any question you did not answer is marked unanswered and listed separately in your review.
Does the simulation score predict whether I will pass?
No. Use it to see which subjects cost you points and whether you ran short on time. It is not an official score or a pass prediction.
